Della Runnels was born in Fort Worth, Texas but has lived all over the U.S. and traveled to many amazing places! She quickly integrated her teaching skills with real estate to help buyers and sellers go through the home-buying process in Oklahoma. Della holds a master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Averett University in Danville, Virginia and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She started her professional career as an elementary school teacher, educating children in South Carolina, Virginia, Kansas, and Oklahoma. She has taught all grades from 1st to 5th including special education. Della participated in a volunteer organization called People 2 People chaperoning high school student ambassadors through France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand. Awarded Teacher of the Year in Chesapeake, Virginia, Della, a very celebrated teacher, became a coach for other teachers. She was also a dance coach for a local high school in South Carolina and was named Miss Charleston (Miss America) in 1985-86. Della moved to Oklahoma in 2014 when her husband, Jeff, was relocated for work. She started with a boutique brokerage as an Office Manager/Property Manager and has progressed to a Buyer's/Listing Agent and ultimately to an independent Realtor with eXp Realty. Della has fulfilled many roles within real estate and has amassed a lot of experience very quickly! Della has a passion for helping people and making sure the transition of buying or selling a home goes smoothly. Utilizing her background in education and teaching, Della guides her clients through every step of the way in an easy-to-understand manner and with a sunny disposition! Della lives in Northwest Oklahoma City with her husband Jeff and enjoys traveling, lounging on the beach, and spending time with her four children, two daughters-in-law, and her grandchildren. Della and her husband love living in Oklahoma City and have been so pleased with the friendly people here! They attend Crossings Community Church and are involved in their church family as well as their community.
