About Dempsey

Dempsey is a full service agent with 22 years Realtor experience. After 25 years as Owner/Manager of the Western Auto store in Farmville, VA Dempsey started his second career as a Realtor with RE/MAX Advantage Plus in Farmville, VA in May of 2001. He currently hold the GRI, ABR and CDPE designations and hold the award of RE/MAX Executive Club for 2005-2008,2016, 2018-2022 and 100% Club for 2009-2015.

He also was awarded the RE/MAX Hall of Fame award in 2012 for lifetime commissions in excess of $1,000,000 .

He has served the South Central Association of Realtors as Vice President for 2003 and 2004 and as President for 2005 and 2006 and again in 2013.He served a fourth term as President in 2018 He served on the Board of Directors for S.C.A.R. for 11 years in some capacity.

Dempsey also served on the Professional Development Advocacy Group for the Virginia Association of Realtors for 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

He served on the Public Policy Committee for the Virginia Association of Realtors since 2013 to 2017, and on the Risk Management committee for the Virginia Association of Realtors for a 3 year term.

He and his wife, Maria, have 3 grown children, and 5 grandsons. His wife Maria is a Reading Interventionist at Prince Edward County Elementary School.

Dempsey is very active in his local church, Worsham Baptist, where he currently serves as Chairman of Deacons and teaches an adult Sunday School class. He has been a deacon since 1976. He is also Chairman of the Long range planning team.
