Denise Hartman

Denise Hartman, a Council Grove resident for 24 years, has been selling real estate for the past seven of those years. A Council Grove native by birth, Denise was raised in Topeka and later moved to Kansas City where she pursued a ten-year career as a professional kickboxer and sales associate in a lady’s fashion boutique. A pioneer in the sport of Kickboxing, Denise fought in the first televised female fight on ESPN, the first female 12-round world title fight in Lake Tahoe on pay-per-view, and has also fought in Strasberg, France. She ultimately reached a World Karate Association ranking as high as #2 in the world and was the 1987 US Champion before retiring from the sport in 1991.

In 1994, she and her husband, Chris Hartman, were set up on a blind date. They were married 9 months later and have been calling Council Grove home ever since. She has two boys, 20 and 17, and a stepdaughter, 25.

Denise welcomes the challenge of negotiating a fair and honest sale for her clients whether they are relocating to the Council Grove area, or are a local looking for a change. Denise works hard and enjoys finding the right home for her buyers. When assisting clients sell their home, she works hard to find qualified buyers. She markets their home on multi-listing sites to reach as much of the public as possible while giving honest feedback.
