Derek is awesome. I was looking for land in a different state but he still took the time to help me find a realtor in that area despite him getting nothing for it. He helped me understand what to ask and look for in my new land and it made me feel way more confident than I actually was. When I take the plunge and move away, Derek will absolutely be who I use to sell my house.

UPDATE: when it came time to sell my parent’s house, Derek was my first stop. He was kind and professional and made everything run so smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to a friend, he stands out in a sea of options.

We are currently working with Derek. He is professional to work with, very prompt in his responses. Most important thing we like about Derek is that he gives honest opinions when asked and does not try to influence/impose our likes and dislikes. He is the best agent to represent a Buyer. He was available to tour few properties with us on the day he was going for a week long vacation. In this home buying process he has educated us along the way as we are first time home buyers.

I met Derek five years ago through Todd McCarty with Class-Harlan and they helped me purchase a home for my mother and I. The experience of purchasing my home felt effortless. However, I believe experiencing the stages from preparing your home, to selling it was even more involved. From moving everything out of the house, cleaning it up, and having all of required certifications, documents, etc. in order to sell the home were not easy tasks. Derek was up front, realistic, and honest with his appraisal of the house value (a few years post-bubble burst). He hosted open houses and promoted it throughout his real estate community.
