The Tye Group went out of their way to make my real estate experience of selling my home a smooth one. There were bumps in the road. Such as a cash offer that backed out a week before closing and a finding of faulty foundation in my house, but through it all they were steadfast swiftly finding a new buyer and offering contractors to fix the foundation. I decided to make a personal move from out of state to Cincinnati. During my initial visit to the area, I reached out to the Tye Group in advance to arrange a meeting with them. My request was handled by Brandon and I couldn’t be more fortunate.

Brandon has in depth knowledge of the local real estate market which is invaluable when house hunting in a city you’re not familiar with. Based on our initial meeting and follow up conversations, he quickly gained an understanding of what I was looking for in a home. He was more than willing to show me homes via Face Time since I was remote which was extremely helpful to the buying process.

His positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm made finding a house that met my needs very easy. He listened to my concerns and helped me to understand the dynamics of the Cincinnati area market. My home buying experience was a rollercoaster, but working with Max Wetcher- a realtor at The Group-was what made it fun. He is very quick to respond to texts and emails, made sure I saw houses quickly, and always helped understand the ins-and -outs of the homes I was looking at.
Additionally, Max couldn't have been more supportive throughout my process. He was willing to drive to any part of the outskirts of town and even trudged through the muddy hills, creeks, and forested lots I was interested in. I always felt like he had my best interest, whether it be in the home search, the offer period, the inspections and the negotiations.
All in all, I don't think I could have had such a positive home buying experience with anyone other than Max. I would recommend him to everyone who needs realtor experience.

Derek has sold over a million dollars worth of my homes. He's outstanding. His marketing is aggressive, and when he gets down to work he handles the transaction and the negotiations skillfully and quickly. I don't think that there is a single house that I have listed with him that he has not sold, and typically they are sold quite quickly. I have been working with Derek for over 5 years now, and he is as good as they come. Just sold this one,and another one 2 weeks earlier. One was pending in 3 days, the other in about 30. We had the recent encourgaging occasion of meeting and contracting with Derek Tye of The Tye Group to sell our home in Montgomery, Ohio. This area is allowing an ongoing transition from older 50's and 60's style homes to higher end contemporary styles. Having a 50's ranch, we were not sure where our home would fit in this modern market, or whether it would be an appropriate time to try and sell. It was at this time, during our consideration, we received an unsolicited call from Derek inquiring if we had an interest to sell. His knowledge of area market and an appraisal of our home indicated that the timing could be right to secure maximum dollar. After personally sitting down with us and addressing all of concerns and clearly answering all of our questions, Derk outlined his plan, supporting the plan with recent comparable sales and explaining how a current low inventory situation may be to our advantage, Within a week we had a contract and within 3 weeks had sold our home. Derek represents what is admirable in the successful small business owner. 12/17/2013 - Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $125K in Cincinnati, OH. Selling a home can be stressful or it can be a good time, and it can also be emotional. I just remarried, and Derek helped my husband sell his home of 48 years with precious memories where he raised his family. It was bittersweet, but Derek was so helpful and kind and made him feel comfortable, and that it was okay. Derek answered every silly question, like it was the most important one in the world. He instantly answered every email and phone call. He took out the stress, and made everything flow smoothly. He was a delight. We put the house on the market on a Tuesday night, and by Sunday night we had two offers. Derek told them to bring their best offer to the table, and we signed the contract for over-asking price. 10/08/2012 - Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $300K in Cincinnati, OH. Derek has the patience of a Saint! Our first offer was placed in October...and we didn't close until June!! Many many difficulties with my husband being a business owner, taxes, IRS etc etc. The whole time, Derek kept us informed, worked with us to provide other avenues to get the information we needed...and just flat out helped in any way he could: and always with a smile! Over the period of our very long process, Derek went from Realtor -to freind at some point. With that, I guess it goes without saying, I recommend Derek to anyone looking for a realtor in the area. 01/22/2013 - Sold a home in 2013. We had our home on the market for a year with another real estate agent and company and had received no offers. Our house was beautifully renovated, however, our home was a challenge to sell due to 3 factors: 1) located on a busy road 2) Highway 275 located behind the homes across the street from us and 3) our neighbor's messy property. We were about to give up on selling our home, when I googled Top Real Estate Agents in Cincinnati and Derek's name popped up at the top of the list. Due to his raving customer reviews on Zillow (which personally means more to a customer than the amount of real estate awards received), I reached out to him regarding the sale of our home. The first time we met Derek we were very impressed with his knowledge and outstanding marketing plan. What made Derek stand out to us compared to other real estate agents we had interviewed, was his aggressive marketing plan which included ownership of websites in which he has the capability to monitor who is viewing our home online and may be showing some interest. Because, let's face it, in this day and age, it's all about internet marketing! He was very straight forward and walked us through some reasonable comps for other homes that were selling in our area and he based our selling price on pure facts and data. He also was very adjustable to all my emails/phone calls and when he wasn't available, his wonderful staff member, Jessi would get back to us. Due to Derek's terrific marketing plan and a modified price for our home, we had heavy foot traffic every week for showings and open houses. After about 50 days of Derek's hard work & focus, we received our 1st offer and sold our house! We never thought it would ever happen, but Derek & his team proved us wrong. If you're looking for a great real estate agent that is straight forward, responsive, intelligent and has a robust marketing plan, look no further! We highly recommend Derek & his team!
