She grew up in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque, attended Albuquerque Public Schools, and graduated from Highland High School. After college, she taught in the Albuquerque Public School system for about 11 years. Diane's husband, Joe, has been married since 1981. He is the Chief Meteorologist at KOAT TV in Albuquerque. They have 2 grown sons who have flown the coup, so they are empty nesters. Since our two sons are no longer at home, they have acquired a 3rd son, this one being 4 legged. Sparky is our 15-pound Silky-Poo which they love to take with us whenever they can. He can brighten a tough day when you open the door and he's overjoyed to see you.
