Donna was a dream to work with. She truly advocates for her clients and has so much institutional knowledge about the DMV. She's trustworthy, super responsive, kind and can make home-buying enjoyable even in the most stressful markets. She is also a great listener and wants the best for her clients. This type of authenticity is hard to come by! When we were getting ready to make an offer on a home we had to have, Donna educated us on all possible situations so we could make the strongest offer we could. We fully endorse Donna and can't wait to move into our dream home, thanks to her.

It has been a year since we purchased our first home from Donna Hamaker, and we have been even more pleased with her services since closing. I had a draft review typed up on my phone that I never got around to posting until now. So I have completed it, and here it is:

Pros:
She is well informed about different aspects of the overall housing market.
She has recommendations for various housing needs, including great lender referrals.
Donna is strategic; she got to know us in ways that helped her help us. For example, she asked about our day-to-day habits and lifestyle, which helped Donna point out options we didn't even know about that would benefit us.
Donna informed us about how a house can work best for us and the specific pros and cons of the housing wants and needs we were looking for, which helped us narrow down our search and taught us valuable information.
When we couldn't decide between places, she helped us through that, and we were able to agree on a home.
Her perspective was insightful, and when appropriate, she shared her thoughts, which were always informative and helpful.

Cons:
Donna can't replicate herself to keep up with demand! We loved her so much that we always wanted Donna's input.

Most importantly:
She is quick to make a move when needed, and any actions that need to be made are made swiftly. As quick as you may be to fill out a form, Donna is just as quick to send it where it needs to go.
There was never a time we wondered what was going on with Donna. She always kept us updated on the processes as they were happening and informed us of any delays as quickly as she found out herself.

We love our starter home, and we are already discussing future homes we will want to look for and how we will reach out to Donna for any further housing. Our experience couldn't have gone more smoothly, or rather, I believe it went smoothly because Donna has the experience and was able to avoid and overcome obstacles. I've heard many terrible and frustrating stories, yet we did not have that experience because Donna made sure, as first-time buyers, we were fully informed about all options. Thanks to Donna, we have gained a new home and more knowledge about homes. Also, since purchasing the house, we've gotten helpful homeowner information, tips, tricks via mail, and cute little seasonal gifts, which were excellent quality and much appreciated. Finally, I want to emphasize how fabulous Donna is as a realtor and a person. She has the best energy, is such a hard worker, and genuinely cares. My husband and I still comment to each other about how great working with Donna was. She exceeded our expectations and continues showing that she cares about our happiness with the home long after the sale. I can honestly say that I can't think of any professional I have worked with that I would recommend as highly as Donna Hamaker. THANK YOU SO MUCH, DONNA! We can't wait to work with you again!
