Doug Engel

With more than 25 years of Marin County Real Estate experience, Doug has successfully handled hundreds of sales. His experience in the residential area includes lots, subdivisions, new construction, as well as many re-sales. In the commercial area, he has successfully handled office buildings, apartments and shopping centers. He particularly enjoys fixer-uppers in both residential and commercial areas. Doug came to the real estate world with a background in college teaching and corporate training. He holds a PH.D. Degree in Organizational Behavior and Industrial Relations from the University of Michigan. Some of his previous employers include the University of Michigan, Division of Management Education, the Business School at the University of Texas at Austin and the Tenneco Corporation's Newport News Shipbuilding Co. In addition to serving as a full time sales representative, Doug has been Co-Owner and President of First Marin Realty since 1978. He has been a major factor in the growth and success of First Marin Realty and it's agents. Doug particularly enjoys helping both clients and agents with their real estate problems. He prides himself in being positive, hardworking, optimistic and understanding.
