Doug Jefcoat

Doug is licensed in Ga and Ala.

Doug Jefcoat graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of South Carolina. After graduating, he worked for Georgia Power for several years in a nuclear power plant, before transferring to their marketing area in Atlanta, Ga where his job was to bring industry into the state of Georgia. Ga Power moved him to Columbus for two years In the 80s. After serving as President of the Columbus JCs he then returned back to Atlanta. A year later, he decided to make the move into full time Real Estate.

Doug worked with WCBradley for 23 years serving in many positions before opening his own Real Estate company in 2019 Jefcoat RealEstate Services, LLC. While at WC Bradley, he led the team as Residential developer of Maple Ridge Subdivision. He was also very involved in many other city development projects. In Harris County, Doug served on numerous boards, committees. and did the rezoning that now allows for smaller subdivisions.

Doug brought over 20 businesses into Downtown Columbus while holding numerous project management positions. He was very involved in the Eagle and Phenix Mills and Riverfront development.

Doug currently holds the prestigious title of CCIM, very few Brokers, REALTORS attain this certification. He is the current Immediate President of the Columbus Board of Realtors and also sits on other Columbus, State Committees. Doug's experience in property sales, land development, rezoning, property management, and bringing industry into Georgia make him stand out in Real Estate. He is also a great motivational speaker.

Doug is married to Jeanne Kilgore Jefcoat and they have 5 grown children and 13 Grandchildren. He is an involved in a local band, ”The Retro Phonics”, where he plays drums. He is also Christian.
