Doug Smock is the founder and managing partner for Springwood Property Company, LLC. Smock began his career in 1985 in the land brokerage business in Dallas, Texas. Since then his experience has included office leasing, property management, asset management, timberland investment management, as well as brokerage & auction of investment properties, farms and raw land.
Smock spent 17 years working as a real estate advisor for wealth management clients in the banking industry. In this capacity he was responsible for real estate held by institutions acting as fiduciaries from all sectors of the industry including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, single-family, minerals, land, farms, and timberland. Smock has extensive experience on all sides of transaction work including acquisition, disposition, and exchange both in the capacity of fiduciary owner and broker.
Smock received a BS in Agricultural Business from The University of Tennessee where he graduated with honors and was a recipient of the Alumni Scholarship which is awarded to outstanding students. He currently holds the prestigious industry designation of CCIM®, is an Accredited Land Consultant through the Realtors® Land Institute, and is a graduate of Southern Trust School. Smock is a licensed real estate broker in the states of Georgia and North Carolina.
