Doug Zimmerman

Doug Zimmerman is the Broker/Owner of Zimmerman Realty Ltd. During his 36+ year career in commercial and residential real estate, Doug has seen his company's sales volume and its sales staff grow six-fold. He has an extensive track record in real estate appraising, negotiation, consulting, brokering, and management.

Doug's professional/educational background includes a GRI (Graduate of Real Estate Institute) designation in 1987, an Ohio Broker's license obtained in 1988 from Hondros Career Center of Columbus, OH, and a Sales Associate license obtained from the Ohio School of Real Estate of Ohio State University in 1983. Following his graduation from Ben Logan High School in 1974 he studied Agricultural Science at Purdue University and practiced crop and animal farming in Belle Center, OH until 1987.

Doug has been actively involved in community service organizations including the Mary Rutan Hospital Board, the Bellefontaine City Planning Commission, United Way Campaign Drive Chairman, and Chairman of the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce. Currently, he attends Huntsville United Methodist Church.

Professionally, Doug served as President of the Regional Miami Valley Association of Real Estate Boards (MVAREB) in 1995, as Chairman of the Logan County Board of Realtors in 1995, and elected Logan County "Realtor of the Year" in 2012. He also served as an Ohio Association of Realtors state trustee in 1994 and 1995 and was a member of the professional standards committee, long-range planning committee, and the MVAREB Board of Directors between 1994 and 1995. His outstanding sales production earned him the OAR President's Award of Excellence for 2003, 2006, 2007, 2014 through 2016, and the Award of Distinction for 2004, 2005, 2009 through 2013, 2017, and 2018. Doug and Libby Zimmerman and Zimmerman Realty, Ltd. were also named the Logan County Chamber Business/ Entrepreneur of the Month in November 2015.
