Douglas is a full-time Real Estate agent with Keller Williams Realty. Licensed since 2007, Douglas has worked with countless residents to sell their homes and has helped many buyers secure a new home here in New Jersey. Douglas is adept at crafting a contract offer that helps buyers win over Sellers and have their offer accepted. And as a fierce negotiator he makes sure all of his clients get the best deal possible.
Douglas is also the owner and lead designer for the Habitatilist Group, a full-service design / build company that specializes in residential renovations. The company has been in business since 2014. Over the last 18 months the company has worked on 12 kitchen renovations, 17 bathroom renovations, and countless other smaller projects.
Working with Sellers Douglas and his crew can prepare a home so that it looks and shows its best when it hits the market. Whether that’s remodeling a kitchen, or just finding the right paint color for a room, good design helps sell a home for more money.
Working with Buyers Douglas can talk about the potential of each home he shows. Whether a house needs a full gut renovation, or some light remodeling, he’ll be able to use his design experience to help Buyers understand how gorgeous a house can be, as well as the costs involved.
A South Orange resident since 2007, Douglas and his wife Kim have 2 boys, both of whom went through the local school district and are now in college. Their older son, Rock gained his masters degree in material sciences at Georgia Tech University and his younger son, Grant, is at Rutgers, New Brunswick studying Engineering. Oddly both Kim and Douglas studied Art History and ended up with two scientist sons! When not working the family enjoys traveling and when they can Kim and Douglas like to visit the museums in foreign cities. The two also love the art talks Janet Mandel gives through the Adult School and are members of the Montrose Park Historical Society.
Douglas is also an amateur “abstract photography” artist and his company is the main sponsor of the Artwalk Festival in downtown Maplewood. He is also a Board Member of the South Orange / Maplewood Chamber of Commerce.
