As VIce Chairman of Colliers in Philadelphia, Doug is both a steward of a 100 year old tradition – and a catalyst for its future. Driven by a credo of “if you’re not changing you’re not growing,” Doug continually seeks ways to add value to the firm and remain competitive in the face of industry disruption.
Known for his keen sense of intuition and an ability to see where opportunities lie, Doug began in a brokerage role with Lanard & Axilbund, advanced to become its President & CEO in 1991, and was the driving force in the firm’s affiliation with Colliers International in 1994. Under his tenure, new offices have opened in Mount Laurel, NJ, Allentown, PA, Conshohocken, PA, Harrisburg, PA and Wilmington, DE. Doug is also credited with expanding the firm’s range of services to include office, industrial, retail and investment brokerage, property management, not for profit, corporate solutions, seniors housing and valuation. In 2024, Doug transitioned to a new role as Vice Chairman for Colliers in the Philadelphia market.
Doug is a committed leader in the Philadelphia community, from professional organizations to charitable and educational causes. He has been president of the Commercial and Industrial Division of The Greater Philadelphia Board of Realtors, a charter member of the University of Pennsylvania Real Estate Society, an officer in the Philadelphia Chapter of SIOR, and president of TriState Realtors Commercial Alliance.
