Dr. Tony Kelly is a Principal Broker and seasoned real estate professional with more than two decades of experience in the Portland metropolitan area. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, an MBA in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy.
Dr. Kelly began his career with six years of active-duty service as a Nuclear Launch Officer in the U.S. Air Force, where he built expertise in leadership, risk assessment, and complex decision-making. He later transitioned into the high-tech sector, leading global sales, marketing, and operational teams for major corporations before moving into real estate.
As the co-owner and co-founder of Keller Williams Realty Portland Premiere, Dr. Kelly helped grow the brokerage from four agents to more than two hundred, with annual transaction volume exceeding one billion dollars. His market expertise has led to national recognition, including multiple appearances on HGTV’s House Hunters. He has earned the Portland Monthly Five Star Agent Award every year from 2011 through 2025 and holds the distinguished Five Star Legend status. He is also a two-time recipient of the Living Room Realty Excellence Award.
In 2025 he was named PMAR REALTOR of the Year, reflecting his sustained commitment to excellence and service within the industry. He was also selected to the 2026 class of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) Leadership Academy, one of the profession’s most prestigious national leadership development programs.
Dr. Kelly has a long and distinguished record of REALTOR leadership. He served as the 2023 and 2024 President of the Portland Metropolitan Association of REALTORS and is the 2025 and newly installed 2026 President of Oregon REALTORS. He is also the Immediate Past President of the Oregon chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) and previously served as a founding board member for the Oregon chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. At the national level he represents Oregon REALTORS as a Federal Political Coordinator to Congress, building relationships with federal policymakers and advocating for housing and property-rights issues.
He serves as an Adjunct Professor at George Fox University, teaching business strategy and leadership, and previously served as Vice Chair of the Board for Young Entrepreneurs Business Week, a statewide nonprofit preparing high school students for future business and civic leadership.
Outside of professional life, Dr. Kelly is a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a certified scuba diver, a former military parachutist, and an endurance athlete with a daily running streak that has continued for more than nineteen years, placing him among the top ranked runners on the U.S. Running Streak Association list. He enjoys collecting single malt Scotch, studying quantum physics and string theory, reading Mongol military history, and watching Hallmark films.
Dr. Kelly and his wife, Dr. Libby Kelly, have been married for thirty-three years. They have two children, both Oberlin College graduates and former NCAA athletes. Their son is an executive with Enterprise, Inc., and their daughter, a University of Michigan Law School graduate, practices law at a top national firm. They reside in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and have previously lived in Colorado, North Dakota, Minnesota, San Francisco, and San Diego. Tony was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan.
