Elynn Rissinger

It was my dream since I was young to help others. I felt fulfilled. Well... I didn't end up one of those medical people that I wanted to be. But because Math and Science were and still are my faves, I finished Engineering instead. Having 7 children with just the spouse working, I dreamt even bigger.

So excited upon migrating from Philippines to the USA. More excited when I got my first job thinking it was easy. But pushing cow's manure in a very cold weather was not easy as I anticipated. I was in tears thinking... "is this the greener pasture?" "In a very cold weather outside the farm pushing manure?" I almost gave up but cold weather and stinky manure didn't stop me. Was doing it for more than 2 years until I can't stand sniffing my stinky self anymore. Hahaha! There were more odd jobs that I had encountered. I was also one of the quality control inspectors that approved the quality of the lenses used to bomb Iraq during Iraq war.

But I quit that beautiful opportunity because I love helping people. I became a live-in caregiver to wonderful couple. Again, my long dream of helping others came true. Was able to help my patients from preparing their medications to maintaining the cleanliness of their surroundings. I learned a lot from the husband. He taught me almost everything in life. He treated me like one of his own kids and trusted me with his businesses and finances. My husband and my patient encouraged me to be a realtor. He, my patient jokingly told me..."Elynn, you will be good in real estate because you have a good personality." I never thought that I took his joke seriously (smiling). They both passed away but they will always be in my heart forever. Because of him, I learned how to be more patient and love unconditionally. In memory of Manny and Essie, I dedicate my love and passion to helping others through real estate.

I became a member with the Board of Realtors in October of 2018. To be a realtor isn't easy but because I love helping others, I persevered. Helping them own their dream homes is a huge accomplishment. I love and I'm proud to be a REALTOR.
