Emily is a native of Howard County, Maryland. She grew up in Columbia, lived in Baltimore City, and has finally landed in Mount Airy with her husband Wil, new daughter Olivia, and their dog Raven. Emily graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University and has also obtained a Master's Degree from McDaniel College in Curriculum and Instruction with a Leadership Focus. She spent the past 10 years as a teacher in Ellicott City and Hanover with the Howard County Public School System. However, before her teaching career began, she obtained her Real Estate license. Emily grew up watching her mother, Lisa Kirshenbaum, become a successful realtor. Lisa joined Monument Sotheby's International Realty a few years ago after her time at Coldwell Banker. Emily knew that one day she would follow in her mother's footsteps, so she always kept her license, continuing education, and knowledge of the market up to date. After recently having her first daughter, she knew that now was the perfect time to make the shift into her Real Estate career. Emily knows she will bring her experience of working with families through her teaching career to help them find the perfect home. She looks at the whole picture and lifestyle of her clients when finding the home of their dreams. Emily also enjoys being a Yoga Instructor and spending time with her family and friends. She always wants everyone to feel welcomed wherever she is and knows that this connects very well with her clients. She is excited to start her Real Estate business with Monument Sotheby's International Realty!
