Eric Hagstette is the Owner and Principal Broker of Inhabit Real Estate, a residential real estate brokerage serving Portland and the surrounding metro area. With more than 22 years of experience and over $1.6 billion in closed real estate sales, Eric has built a reputation as one of Portland’s most respected and well-connected brokers. He is known for combining deep market knowledge, candid advice, and a calm, solutions-oriented approach that helps clients navigate even the most complex transactions with confidence.

Eric specializes in residential resale, new construction, infill development, land acquisition, and strategic advising for builders and developers. As both a high-producing broker and brokerage owner, he brings a unique “selling owner” perspective that keeps him closely connected to the realities of today’s market while also mentoring and leading other agents at a high level.

Midway through his real estate career, Eric founded Inhabit Real Estate with the goal of creating a modern, highly collaborative brokerage focused on exceptional service, strong branding, and real-world expertise. Under his leadership, Inhabit has become known for serving everyone from first-time buyers and downsizers to luxury clients, investors, and sophisticated developers throughout the Portland area.

Beyond his work with clients, Eric is deeply involved in the real estate industry and broader housing conversation. He serves as a Director for both Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors and Regional Multiple Listing Service, where he advocates for housing access, agent education, and a stronger future for the industry.
