Eric was a great help to us as we bought our home back in 2016 and then during our sale in 2022. He helped answer any questions we had promptly and clarified any confusing parts for us. He also helped us map out a timeline so we could schedule contracting work, staging, and cleaning in the lead-up to listing, and he was communicative with us and prospective buyers proactively. We'd recommend working with him, and we're glad we did!

We had a incredible and seamless experience with Eric Halstrom who has great knowledge of the city and local market. Eric was knowledgeable, kind and patient. We were first time home buyers and Eric walked us through the process in a way that we could easily understand which made it all a lot less stressful. If you’ve ever sold a home, you know how stressful it can be. Having Eric Halstrom as my agent took a lot of the pressure off of the situation. He helped me to understand the contractual language and also gave me moral support and guidance when I needed it. I’ve sold quite a few houses over the years, but this one was actually a pleasure to sell, in large part due to working with him. Very professional. I would absolutely recommend him.

Eric helped my wife and I find our first home. We were new to the home buying experience and weren’t sure what we could afford, and only knew a couple must-haves on our list. Eric helped instill confidence in our budget range, as well as fill out our wish list of things we wanted in our house. He did this all in April 2020, right in the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which made us even more thankful that he enabled us to find what we were looking for.

Eric has been a good friend and realtor for several years now. Eric helped me purchase my first home in NE DC. Through his connections and ability to craft a solid offer, we got the house.

During the pandemic, we longed for more outdoor space and began looking to upgrade our home. Once again Eric came through and helped us put in a winning bid on a home in NW DC.

This next part is where Eric really shined. Because of how crazy the market is in DC, now we owned two homes! Yikes. Eric helped prepare a timeline and through his contacts helped us to take care of a few issues on our current home and get it listed before we closed on the new home. We sold our home in 4 days for more than our asking price and ended up only owning two homes for about 2 weeks.

All in all, we are 3 for 3 working with Eric. We hope now that we will not need his services again for a long time, but never say never. If in the future we chose to move again we will most definitely give Eric a ring.

My wife and I recently bought a house in D.C. It would not have happened without the experience and grit shown by Eric. We had built a great relationship for over two years with Eric while we considered the idea of buying our first home. Eric was incredibly patient with us, while still being attentive to our questions in the earlier stages. Once we were ready to buy, Eric made it seem effortless. We know there was a stroke of luck along the way, but Eric made it seem stress free. He was organized, responsive, strategic and comforting throughout the entire process.

I can't recommend Eric enough. He's incredibly responsive and attentive to your wants and needs in a home. When I decided to expand my search radius he found places for me to look at almost immediately, and when I was ready to buy he had every step covered (including negotiating a lower price!). I'd use him as my agent again in a heartbeat.

I met Eric at an open house and my wife and I were not exactly sure if we were really going to buy or not. We already had a couple properties in the city and were really just looking for fun. I spoke with Eric for probably about an hour past when the open house closed, and we became friends. Even though my wife and I probably looked at 30 properties before buying he always gave us his opinion and was never pushy. When we finally put a bid in to the property, it was only he rambunctious work that got us an amazing deal. We ended up purchasing the property for $560K, put about 100K in renovations into it, and today its worth nearly 1 million. This was one year ago in May 2020. It was his quick actions that got us this property hands down. If he had not gone out of his way to get the buyer to sign the contract, I do not think we would have gotten the property. Highly recommend him!
