Lake living flows in my blood, which may come as a surprise when you learn that I was born and raised in rural Ohio on a 280+ acre grain and hog farm. Just about as far from lake life as you can get! As part of a large, 100+ member family, I learned the importance of honesty, integrity, and respect at a young age. I also learned the importance and fulfillment of hard work done right. Throughout elementary and high school, I worked both on the family farm and in the family’s local restaurant, all while maintaining my studies and enjoying a rich social life with friends.
These family commercial experiences led me to seek Associate degrees in Business Management and Marketing/Sales, which led to 12 years spent in the financing/banking industry. During this time, I continued to further my studies, gaining Bachelor degrees in Business Administration and Managerial Leadership. All the while, I was dipping my toe in the real estate waters. Over the course of 20 years, I purchased and rescued a number of properties. And that was it—I had been bitten by the real estate bug. The very next year after completing my Bachelor degrees, I had my Realtor’s license. I also designed, planned, built, manage, and own a local business, Destination Lake Life.
I reside at Indian Lake, where I enjoy the many benefits of lake life. On warm summer days, I spend time with family and friends, maybe boating, maybe doing a little swimming, or maybe just relishing a nice, lazy float on the water. On other days, I split my time between walking the trails surrounding Indian Lake, searching for hidden gems at flea markets, taking my dogs out for a play date at the dog park, and picking up some fresh delectables at the nearby farmers’ markets. I also enjoy traveling, having recently explored such far-flung destinations as Madrid, Montreal, Tolouse, Paris, Roatan, Dominican Republic, Cozumel, and the Bahamas.
