Ethea Schallberger

A native Californian, Ethea and her family have called Cape Girardeau home for over 12 years, moving here in 2005 as co-owners of a dairy farm and beef cattle operation.

After graduating from Fresno State, Ethea spent time living, traveling, and working abroad in Madrid, Spain before returning to California and managing the Fresno State Farm Market and teaching at-risk high school students. She taught Spanish at Cape Central High School before focusing her attention on raising their family and managing the family rental properties in the area.

Growing up, Ethea watched her parents develop a large portfolio of investment properties and learned the ins and outs of the business.

With both children now in school, the career transition to selling real estate was a natural fit. When the opportunity presented itself at Area Properties Real Estate-River Region, she jumped at the chance to join such a well-respected group of real estate professionals. After being the “go to” person for her rental tenants who needed local recommendations, she can now provide them with yet another level of service as they settle into the community and purchase their first home, their next investment property or upgrade to their dream home.
