Floyd Amidon

Born and raised in Hoosick Falls, New York, Floyd moved to Vermont in 1994. His sales career spans 22 years with 7 of those in the car business with GM and the last 15 years running a successful Aflac Insurance team in Vermont and Western Massachusetts. He has built his reputation and career around honesty, fairness and having excellent communication skills. All of which are vital to a successful career in any field.

Floyd’s interest in the real estate world finally took flight in 2021 and was a perfect fit with his passion and excitement to help others. He wanted to help clients he works with in his insurance business find their first home, upgrade their home as their families grew, or sell their home when the time came. He continues to assist his insurance clients while expanding his services with real estate. It’s been a great fit having both avenues to help his clients over the last several years. He is licensed in Vermont and New York and has a vast knowledge of both Southern Vermont and Upstate New York to better help assist his clients.

He is not all work and no play, though. Floyd and his fiance, Melissa, have one fur baby named Harley. They enjoy relaxing by the pool and fire pit, visiting new places and spending time with family and friends. Floyd enjoys cars, golfing, snowmobiling, cornhole, being in the woods on his side by side, riding his motorcycle and cigars.
