Frank Hartmann is a Managing Director in the Austin office of Savills. He brings more than 20 years of experience advising corporations on site selection, headquarters strategy, and complex real estate transactions. Frank’s expertise spans commercial brokerage, enterprise business development, revenue growth, and market intelligence. He is known for building trusted relationships with CEOs, founders, and corporate real estate executives, and for structuring transactions that align real estate strategies with long-term business objectives.
Prior to joining Savills, Frank was the Founder & Principal of SquareDirection, a commercial real estate advisory platform focused on tenant representation, corporate location strategy, and market intelligence. Over his career, he has executed over $250 million in lease transactions across 50+ assignments, with a focus on strategic, relationship-driven advisory work – now scaling that foundation within the global platform at Savills.
He also served as Vice President of Economic Development at Opportunity Austin, where he led corporate recruitment efforts representing over 100 companies across domestic and international markets. In this role, he supported more than $10 billion in regional capital investment and facilitated over 1 million square feet of office transactions.
Frank is an FAA instrument-rated pilot, offering a distinct perspective on regional access and time-sensitive site selection decisions.
