About Frank
Frank Cameron Lambert, a broker associate with the Downtown Sarasota office of Premier Sotheby's International Realty, is an award-winning developer with a career that spans four decades and several states. His personal motto is just like that of Sotheby's International Realty®: Artfully Uniting Extraordinary Homes with Extraordinary Lives.
Originally from Springfield, Ohio, Frank studied architectural engineering at Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and founded his own construction company at the age of 19. Moving to Sarasota in 1980, he formally began his career in the real estate and construction industries as he designed and built homes in Indiana. Eventually expanding his business to Florida, Frank built over 200 homes across the state, and developed three boutique bayfront custom-home developments in Sarasota in a partnership with his wife, Premier Sotheby's International Realty sales associate Anita Lambert. Additionally, Frank owned and operated his own real estate brokerages and also worked with several national franchises.
Relocating to Colorado in 2007, Frank obtained his broker's license and continued to market properties, construct new homes and developed a 40-acre community in the San Juan Mountains near Telluride. Even though they love the rugged mountain lifestyle, Frank and Anita missed the warmer weather, family and laid-back Florida lifestyle. After five years, the Lamberts returned to Sarasota's Gulf Coast in 2012 to live full-time, and still spend time in southwest Colorado, where they enjoy their mountain-view property.
An expert in the field of commercial and residential development, Frank's background includes land acquisition and planning, project management, site development, custom home design and construction, and historical renovation. He's been the recipient of several prestigious architectural awards, such as the American Wood Council's Design for Better Living award for a custom home at The Landings of Sarasota, and an Aurora Award and Fame Award for the design of a custom home on Longboat Key. Additionally, Tocobaga Bay, an upscale downtown Sarasota bayfront enclave which Frank designed and developed, has been given a historic preservation designation, with archeological discoveries made in a Calusa Indian midden on site. The Calusa Indians lived in the huge banyan trees in the area under Chief Tocobaga 2,000 years ago!
Frank is a member of Florida REALTORS®, the Colorado Association of REALTORS®, the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee and the National Association of REALTORS®. Outside of the office, Frank enjoys traveling with his wife, hitting the links at his favorite golf course, biking, hiking, and indulging in Downtown Sarasota's bustling art and culinary scene. A devoted fan of Florida's sports teams, Frank can likely be found cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fall and the Tampa Bay Rays in the spring.
