He is married to Carrie Stephani, and he has four children, Paige (20), Josh (18), Claire (16) and Skye (11). Carrie and he met in Arizona as he was attending MBA school at Arizona State, and she was working for America West Airlines in their marketing department.

When Skye was 2 months old (December 2010) he was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin Lymphoma. He underwent 7 months of chemotherapy, and he now has a clean bill of health.

He runs most days (Carrie is his motivation). He runs because he likes to eat!! Running lets him eat what he wants. Carrie and he get out and surf when the waves are small to medium. They love to travel as a family, and they have made some fun memorable trips together.
