Gail O. La Turner of Cook Realty grew up in the real estate business in Sacramento. Her Mother, Jo La Turner and Father, Frederick La Turner, were licensed brokers or agents since the early 1950’s in the Sacramento area. Gail remembers living in a model house where every Saturday and Sunday the family got up early to lay out the walkway “runners” and she says that all drawers and closets had to be “just so” before the “open house” started. She is a Masters Club member and has several years of experience in mortgage banking and lending. Gail has been licensed for over 30 years and has worked in many areas of real estate and finance:

When Gail was growing up her father always had some sort of remodeling project going on. Her first purchase of a home was a Victorian in downtown Sacramento, when she was just over 18 years of age. She worked on the renovation of that home for over 3 years and learned at an early age what restoration really takes. This information has served her well over the years. She says whenever she enters a home, residential building or office building she thinks, “I would take that wall down, add this detail and put in a bay window there. I look at what ‘can be'”.
In the early 1980’s she developed a 50-lot subdivision adjoining the Sacramento River. It was then called Gail’s Port Landing. In 1986 Gail purchased and completed construction of a 40,000 sq ft office complex, and then reengineered the building so that it could be sold as individual condominiums. In the early 1990’s she invested in another residential subdivision in El Dorado Hills on Francisco Way, and later sold it.
After years of residential lending, residential sales, and commercial development and sales, Gail made a life decision to focus primarily on residential sales. While she does a lot of work in the Land Park, Greenhaven, and Curtis Park areas, her life-long experience in real estate all over Sacramento enables her to serve clients throughout the county. She says, ‘I enjoy actually working one on one with people, educating them and helping them find a home that they will really enjoy. This work is the most satisfying for me, day to day. This is what I like.’
