Gary W. Roberts has been a familiar face in local real estate since he first became a Realtor® in the late 1970’s and brings a solid knowledge of our market to bear as a member of the O’Brien & Associates Real Estate team.
Gary married Charlene Purdy in 1973, and the couple has four children and four grandchildren. Gary was born and raised in East Jordan, raised his children there, and currently resides just a mile from where he grew up.
He is involved in the community not just from a business standpoint, but has been faithfully involved with East Jordan Rotary, especially its Strive mentoring program. The East Jordan High School Strive Program encourages students whose ability to graduate is at risk, utilizing community volunteers in mentoring positions. He also has refereed high school boys’ and girls’ basketball, and has been a Little League, t-ball and soccer coach.
Active in East Jordan’s Lighthouse Missionary Church, Gary has participated in Keryx, a community and prison ministry program. He also serves on the ecumenical Depot board in East Jordan. The Depot is a youth center and outreach sponsored by East Jordan churches.
Gary has extensive experience in Antrim, Charlevoix and Emmet counties, covering primarily East Jordan, Ellsworth, Central Lake, Boyne City, Petoskey, Charlevoix – and many more beyond and between. He truly loves his job, bringing buyers and sellers together in what continues to be one of life’s biggest and most important decisions.
But as much as he loves real estate, Gary Roberts’ first love is his family – whether taking a day-vacation to Mackinac Island, hunting morels, or attending school or sporting events, home is where Gary’s heart is. He understands how important “home” is and brings that understanding to your real estate transactions.
