Gene Amsel, Senior Vice President and Broker Associate at Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty’s Tenafly and Alpine Regional offices is a real estate veteran with over 30 years of experience in the industry. With a proven track record and knowledge of the business, Gene has brought a tenacious work ethic and enthusiasm to buying, selling, and managing two offices. His professionalism and leadership skills are invaluable in navigating the intricacies of the New Jersey market.

Remaining constantly “in the know” about everything going on with local and global real estate trends, Gene is focused on building an even more dynamic and multifaceted business at Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty and all it has to offer. Before his career at Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, Gene was a Regional Business Consultant with Realogy managing companies and offices across the East Coast from Maine to Delaware.

Known for building an environment of transparency and integrity, he helps agents set and achieve goals to further their success in their careers as well as the success of the company’s clients. On a local level, Gene is involved in the community along with several charities such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation. Recognized for his leadership in the business, Gene was elected as past President of the Eastern Bergen County Board and President of the Demarest Athletic Association.

Outside of his work commitments, he can be found cycling across Bergen County or spending time with his wife Nancy and family throughout the NYC area.
