Gig Blitz

Gig was born in Quebec, Canada, and moved to Scotland when she was very young. She attended boarding school in England and spent a gap year in Switzerland where she lived and worked in a residential community for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Following this Gig returned to Canada and completed her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences in Toronto. Gig has always been passionate about sports and exercise, and her career in that industry has been varied and fulfilling.

Gig moved to Houston Texas in 1999 where she married her current husband Patrick, who she first met in Stavanger, Norway. Together they have a daughter and were transferred to Bartlesville Oklahoma when she was 3 years old. Gig’s son was born in 2003 and shortly thereafter they moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland. Gig and her family enjoyed getting to know the community and loved the way of life (but not the weather)! In 2006 they moved back to Houston where they lived for 12 years. While living in Texas, Gig frequently vacationed in Colorado and fell in love with mountain living and the lifestyle that goes with it.

Gig is delighted and feels extremely blessed to now be living in Evergreen, Colorado. It is a wonderful playground for outdoor recreation and has perfect weather! If Gig is not working you will find her hiking in the mountains with her dog Bow, mountain biking, horse riding, or playing tennis. During the winter she loves to ski and snowshoe.

Gig has two wonderful children and a husband of 20 years who is her best friend.
