Giles received a BA degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, returned home to marry her husband Al and raise her family that includes three sons. She is active in her community by being involved in many volunteer organizations that include the Junior League of El Paso, the downtown Rotary club of El Paso, Pan American Round Table, and Candlelighters.
