About Ginger

I have been living in Northern Virginia since 1984. Prior to that I have lived in many states and moved 21 times. I can now say that it is good to be experienced in moving but able to enjoy staying in Northern Virginia.

My experience started back in 1995 in the Herndon/Reston Weichert office and I was able to quickly develop the necessary skills that made me a top producer year after year. I enjoy listing homes, marketing homes, negotiating contracts, helping folks find their dream home and everything that goes on to get the deal done.

Over the years, I have sold homes from Stafford and Woodbring to Winchester and Bryce, but love working in Fairfax and Loudoun County. It is exciting to see all types of homes, condos, townhomes, and estates and the different styles and places that people live.

I have acquired my associate broker's license, my CRS, ABR, ePro, and ASP, CLHMS certifications. Education is important to me and continuing to develop new technology to market and help meet my clients needs.

Having settled over 550 transactions so far, allows me to have a wealth of knowledge and experience with different situations that are constantly thrown our way in a transaction.

I have enjoyed volunteering and most recently have worked for Boulder Crest Retreat for Healing Heros which is located in Loudoun County. I also have chaired the Daffodil Ball for Capital Hospice and held a variety of positions for that fundraiser /

Ginger did a fabulous job selling our River Creek home 3 years ago! She paid attention to all the details associated with dealing with the HOA and buyers which became effortless for us. Due to this professional and caring experience we had with her, we recently contracted with her to find us a new home when we decided to move back into the area. Once she understood what we were looking for, she went to work providing properties in a low inventory environment that met our criteria. She has financial and contractor connections that got us preapproved quickly at a competitive rate and to the closing table in 15 days. The house we decided to buy was an older home and Ginger worked with us to coordinate all the inspections, various contractors needed, and dealing with the seller’s agent. She proactively took an interest in getting our items addressed and to the settlement table. Everyone that we met enjoyed working with Ginger and had nothing but good things to say about how knowledgeable she is which helps them get things done. Again, another professional and caring experience! This is the last house we plan to buy but if we were to do it again – we would have Ginger by our side. Highly recommend giving Ginger a call if anyone is looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and diligent realtor to have a great experience.

My husband and I had the good fortune to meet Ginger Wassum when we were dating and went looking at houses for fun. We kept her card and called her when we were ready to buy a townhouse and sell my condo when we were engaged. Both were great experiences. She helped us navigate buying and selling and we found her expertise invaluable. We were pleased to have her at our wedding. When we were ready to buy a house, we signed with Ginger again. After much looking, we decided to build. She took us through the process, explaining each step, telling us what to expect, and helping us explore all options. Now we have our dream home. Ginger was also instrumental in selling our townhouse, offering us her extensive network of service providers and helping bring in record-breaking offers.
