03/22/2015 - rampmariano Sold a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $575K in San Luis Obispo, CA. I obtained Graham Upgrove's of Sotheby's Realty contacts through a flyer that was dropped on the front door. This property was our second home as we live primarily in the Bay Area. The first time we met was when I was in town to check and do some landscaping. After the usual introductions, I was impressed by his candor and professionalism that the comparable properties in the area are selling for a lot less than I am willing to sell the property for, which was underwater. So we parted that day after he promised that he will watch the prices for that market. For three months, he was diligent in relaying info about the possible sale. When he checked the latest, he told me that there was a house that sold in the area that was about $50K from my target price, but He said that if I agreed, we could market the property for my target price since the house was in a move in condition and showed better than the sold property. It did not take long (about a month) that Graham brought in buyers who wanted a quick escrow, price is within what I could work with and not cross over the date that I had to pay another mortgage. Needless to say, that my wife and I were thoroughly amazed at Mr. Upgrove's skills in turning over this property including all the help he granted us in returning cable equipment and getting rid of extra materials after the sale so I do not have to make any trips back to SLO. I have the utmost gratitude and wish all the luck to Graham Upgrove; his future is safe, keep up with the excellent people skills.

Some agents just show you the house but expect you to do all the homework yourself. Not Graham. When Graham shows you a house he has already done all of the homework so you have all the information you need right then and there. Graham always returned our calls and emails in a timely manner. What I appreciate the most about working with Graham is his thoroughness in researching the properties, his knowledge and expertise in the process and his excellent communication skills. 08/30/2012 - user705280 Bought a home in 2012. We recently purchased a home in San Luis Obispo through Graham. We met him at an Open House for one of his listings and were impressed from Day 1. Graham is polite, professional and has excellent follow up. We had a very small area of San Luis as our desired area, from our first conversation he sent us listings and kept us up to date of homes that might be coming on the market. Ocassionally we would ask to see a house outside our desired area, he would always remind us that it was not exactly where we wanted to be, but was always willing to take the time to show us. Graham did an excellent job of understanding our sense of urgency, he knows how to communicate in a way that is efficient but not overbearing. Graham also demonstrated knowledge in all areas of purchasing a home, up to date with interest rates and types of loans available, the inspection process, dealing with pest issues, closing needs and any other hurdle you might come across when buying a house. It was such an easy process for us and we attribute that a lot to Graham understanding our wants and needs for buying a house in SLO. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to purchase or sell a home.
