About Grant

"It's not business, it's personal" is Grant's approach to life. "He doesn't view the people that he teams with as clients, partners or advisors. Their relationships are personal and ongoing. He wants to always have their best interest at heart - because he sees them as family." Growing up in the St. Louis area, Grant's youth was filled with good friends, family and sports, but Grant understood challenges as well. His life's experiences created a desire to make things better for him and others. Always a natural leader, his determination to make a difference was apparent at a young age. He petitioned members of his community and wrote to his local council member for the purpose of improving his local parks. In a bold and proactive move, Grant also met with his school board to have he and his sister transferred to a better school, in the hopes of a higher quality education. A graduate from the University of Missouri St. Louis, studying Management Information Systems, his professional career was focused on information technology and software development. It didn't take long before Grant knew that IT was not his passion, as he continuously found himself gravitating toward promoting quality products and services to others. Learning about everything from shoes to nutritional supplements, he soon realized that sharing his acquired knowledge was really about his passion for helping people to evolve. Never believing that it was "just business" his desire to work with people, to find what compliments and improves their lives, has always been his priority. "The goal is to find the purpose and enjoyment in all that he does for himself and others - to create an experience." With his love of architecture, creating systems and people, real estate seemed like the perfect direction for his life. A realtor since 2002, holding the position of number one agent at his firm, Grant decided it was time to start his own company. In 2012 Grant Hickman Real Estate Advisors was established. At GHREA they don't want to just solve today's problems. They want to advise people to look at the bigger picture, helping them to evaluate their current situations, with their long-term needs and goals in mind; to educate their home buyers and sellers, for them to make healthy decisions for their own lives. They don't want to be hired, they want to create a long and lasting relationship with trust, as their cornerstone Grant's desire to assist his advisors to achieve their goals is apparent. His ongoing training, along with his systems and resources, continues to give his advisors the practical education and guidance needed to succeed in helping those they serve. "A genuine care for the personal lives of these families is at the heart of all they do." Excitement, determination and an optimistic attitude are the foundation of GHREA's success. Grant's belief system also shines through in his charitable works through "GHREA Gives Back" a core part of his organization, which contributes to others by giving back time, talents and resources to the local community. With compassion for others, Grant cultivates growth in himself, his business, his advisors and the families and community that he serves. His belief that "everything they do is personal" continues to reflect a value system that sends the message to his families, letting them know that "They Can Help!"
