Gussie Sholtis

“Gussie,” short for Augusta, has been a resident of Berlin for 20 years and a licensed realtor for 12 years. Raised in a military family, Gussie has lived all over the U.S., and in a number of foreign countries. When she “discovered” Berlin back in 1989, she knew this was where she wanted to stay and plant her roots, and she has NEVER been disappointed by that decision.

Gussie loves Berlin and has been selling it to anyone who would listen for years. When a friend suggested that she get her license and turn her passion into a career, it was the best advice she had been given in a long time.

She has two awesome grown children (22 and 24) who grew up in this town where they walked to school, rode their bikes to the library, played under the streetlights with the neighborhood kids, and had all the shop keepers know them by name. Whoever coined the phrase “It takes a village…” must have had Berlin in mind, because they are that “village” that knows and looks out for each other.

Gussie worked the first seven years she was licensed with a company in Ocean City where she was also a bartender in the summer. Her mother has lived in Ocean City for over 20 years, and she is there daily still.
