As an eastern North Carolina native, she forged a love of coastal living early. She grew up in Kinston, NC and spent her first 12 summers whiling away the hours catching pinfish off a dock and enjoying strolls along the beach in nearby Morehead City and Atlantic Beach, NC. She is lived in Charlotte, Greensboro (attending UNC-G), Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands and Atlanta, GA, but her heart always remained in coastal Carolina. So, in 1995, when given the opportunity to relocate to Wilmington, her family jumped at the chance. They happily moved back to a part of North Carolina she always called home.
Two of her children currently attend New Hanover High School and her oldest goes to UNCW. Her three children went to both public and private schools in New Hanover County, so she is remarkably familiar with the school system. Empty Nest? Need a second home?
