Heather Embrey has been our real estate agent of choice for the past 8 years and she has been the ultimate realtor. Heather saw us through the purchase of our first single family home 8 years ago and saw us through the sale of it last week. She navigated potential investment properties along the way and gave good advice when we should and shouldn't leap.
Heather knows real estate and she knows homes! She educated us on high points and pitfalls.
Heather also understands the emotional aspects of buying or selling a home and wow, is she good. We were stressed out with the purchase of a home in another state and she was so supportive by helping us find resources and understanding our rights as buyers in this crazy housing market.
These are huge investments , both financially and emotionally. She is so authentic, a great listener, compassionate, helps you see the different perspectives, and even guides on when it’s time to walk away.

Heather worked with my fiancee and I to find our home, and she walked us through every single step of the process, making sure we were comfortable and fully aware at every step. She stayed within our budget, listened to what we wanted in a home, and found dozens of potential places for us. She always made herself available, was always pleasant to talk to, and spotted several potential repairs or renovations that new homes would have needed. Heather Embrey was recommended by a good friend who doesn’t often recommend individuals. That alone was a great indicator of the type of realtor she is. We reached out to Heather and can say that we were immediately blown away. She is an absolute joy to work with. It is like having a good friend who cares and wants what’s best for you, working for/with you. She listens, learns what you want and are looking for, and delivers. She is honest and truly cares about her clients. Very professional, knowledgeable and thorough, she always kept an eye out for us and alerted us when something that might interest us became available. Her honesty and forth-righteousness were greatly appreciated. She is not pushy and always looks out for your best interest. Heather definitively made a complicated and stressful process quite enjoyable. We learned a lot and would, without hesitation, recommend her to anyone - including the people we love the most.

Heather was my realtor when I bought my first home in 2008 - she was so awesome I asked for her help when selling/buying a bigger place this past spring! She's extremely knowledgeable about the Northern VA market and makes the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. She looks out for your best interests and won't hesitate to let you know if there might be any issues with a property you're interested in - she does her homework and is on top of everything. Looking for a new house during a pandemic wasn't the most ideal situation, but Heather kept us calm and focused and made sure we put in a great offer on a house we really loved - we beat out several other offers and it was because of Heather's professionalism and expertise that we got it!
