Heather is a true asset to have on your team throughout the home buying process. She is friendly and cares about getting you into a home that you will love. This is matched with a top-notch knowledge of the local market. As first-time homebuyers, Heather was especially useful as she has a high attention to detail and would explain various things she noticed in the houses we were looking at.

Heather also went above and beyond in getting us showings that fit our schedules and in getting us showings fast enough to act quick in a competitive market. She even made arrangements at the last minute so I could see one of our prospective houses in person on a Friday night.

Heather is also a fantastic negotiator. She helped us find one of the best interest rates available that were eligible for. She was a huge ally as we put in offers as she helped us ensure we were competitive without overspending. The other listing agent on the house we bought even commented to us at closing that we were lucky to have her because of how much she advocated for us.

We truly cannot thank Heather enough for all the work she put in for us during the home buying process. We certainly plan to use her as our realtor for any future transactions we may have in the area

Knowledge
Heather absolutely knows just about everything when it comes to buying and/or selling a home. She has years of experience and keeps up with local inventories, trends, rates, pricing, etc. She keeps you completely informed and makes sure you are making the best decision for you and your family. She took our search criteria and was able to find the absolute perfect home for us that we definitely couldn’t have found on our own. She also has contacts in just about every field, so if you need to get in touch with a local professional, she has one to recommend. If you manage to stump her with a question that she doesn’t know the answer to (unlikely), she will research it and get back to you quickly.

Responsiveness
Probably the most responsive realtors you can get. Heather is always just a call, text, or email away. She is even available for you when most people aren’t (i.e. traveling, vacation, etc.) so you never are alone when you need guidance. She is by your side from home showings all the way through home closings (and beyond, if you still have house related questions like we did). Aside from just her responsiveness, I was most appreciative of her honesty and character. If you have a question, Heather will always tells you like it is, good or bad, so that you are making the best decision for you. She isn’t pushy like some realtors can be and truly treats you like a friend, not a client.

Negotiation Skills
I couldn’t be happier with Heather’s negotiation abilities. Obviously, the current housing market helps from a seller’s perspective, but beyond that she was able to strategize on our home listing & pricing to draw in significant attention, which ended up netting us significantly over asking price. Heather also helps you think through all the options if you get into a multi-offer scenario. She was also able to advise us and helped us negotiate incredibly well on the buying side and saved us thousands there as well. She definitely earns and deserves every penny for what she can do for you.

Process Expertise
Heather’s expertise in the full end-to-end process of buying/selling a home is seriously impressive. We had to buy a home and sell our old one and she navigated us through it with ease. When selling our house, she was able to point out things we could do to improve the value, catch & fix issues before they arose, and stage it perfectly (she has a wonderful photographer by the way). When buying our new house, she ensured that we had everything we need to be successful, between setting us up with financing and her and her husband Scott doing walkthroughs with us at a moments notice, it was all a breeze. She also has a trained eye that helps catch potential issues in homes as you walk through them – things the average person wouldn’t see or know to look for. She is with you (literally) at every step of the way, whether you are buying, selling, or both as we did. You can feel confident with her at your side.

If there were more than 5 stars...

When we began our home search, we were working with 2 to 3 different real estate agents, all of whom were too busy or impersonal, or unavailable, or didn't remember proper details. Then, we met Heather, as introduced to us by our mortgage lender. Heather worked harder than anyone we'd met. She treated us like human beings and she heeded and remembered everything we asked. And believe me, we aren't the easiest homebuyers. We saw at least 50 homes with Heather. Heather's eye for home detail makes her (seriously!) nearly as good as a home inspector. You know you're working with the right person when you feel like you could get dinner with them and you will talk with them for hours and they will, with you. That's Heather—beyond professional, more than 5 stars.

Please work with her if you're searching for a home in the Louisville area. You will not at all regret it.

Heather worked with me for over 6 months in a crazy real estate market (where houses go under contract the day they go on the market) to find a house that met very, very specific requirements. I lived out of state, and numerous times she went to see houses for me when I couldn't be there. On one occasion, she worked to get a showing even though the house wasn't technically available for viewing yet. She always conducted herself with integrity and was never afraid to voice her concerns about a property, even when there must have been lots of times when she, too, was growing weary of the search. I have been trying to get my head around the fact that I and my family are in a new house and were able to get it as a result of things Heather taught us. I know this cannot adequately convey how much assistance, guidance, wisdom, suggestions, and help in general that Heather provided to us in finding our new home and selling our old one. It would literally take a book. We found a number of houses that we liked, a number that we laughed at, and a number that just weren't right; through it all Heather was professional and upbeat. She'd brainstorm what an oddly shaped room might be used for, point out a nearly hidden sinkhole ready to possibly shallow a gazebo, or realize the need for a dart alcove in an obvious man-cave. With four children we were sometimes pressed for time for showings, or more times than I care to remember used her help in rounding the littlest ones up when at a listing. She went far and beyond what we or anyone should expect. When listing our old house, she advised us on the price we should set; had I listened at the time I am sure it would have sold the first week on the market, instead of the three weeks it took for me to agree to the reasonable price she had suggested. During the pre-sale period Heather helped save us time and gas, by meeting contractors and repair professionals, so we could complete the sale without any issues. I have already recommended Heather to a number of folks already, but if you are trying to decide on a professional to help you find your dream home or sell an older home, then I am certain Heather can help you with this. Faced with the seemingly daunting task of trying to sell my mother’s home from 700 miles away, I feel very fortunate to have found Heather. Not only did she guide us through the listing and help us decide on a realistic price, but she was there every step of the way keeping us informed of the sale progress and buyer comments as well as making recommendations to help keep the process moving. As with any listing there were the items that needed attention in preparation for sale and a few items that the buyer needed to have done prior to closing, this is where Heather really came through for us.
