Making FL Dreams is Heather’s passion where her diligence and persistence help clients with negotiation and navigation of a successful transaction.
Raised in Englewood, Heather understands the numerous intangible benefits of Southwest Florida with its beautiful weather and scenery as well as the proximity to Florida’s many attractions. It’s also the inspiration for “The Fishing Girl” because who doesn’t dream of moving to Florida to fish or relax on the beaches in our tropical weather all-year-long?!
Heather graduated from Sarasota County Schools and then the University of Florida, one of the top public universities in the United States, with a Bachelor’s in French and a minor in Education. Being a Gator taught her to never give up and to think outside of the box. She subsequently returned to Sarasota County and began her career as a teacher at Heron Creek Middle School. Over 17 years as a classroom teacher have given her invaluable skills of patience, perseverance, understanding, negotiation, and thinking on her feet. While teaching full-time, Heather completed her Master’s in Educational Leadership with the University of Scranton, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She completed her full program in only a year, confirming that anything is possible if you set your mind to it if you’re willing to work hard.
She joined the Real Estate profession looking for a new challenge. As a REALTOR®, Heather is looking forward to many years Making FL Dreams with her clients. She is actively involved in the community and believes that making a difference in the world is paramount to making the world a better place for all.
Making the world a better place for all is the focus of MakingFLDreams. Through the North Port Area Chamber, the ALC, Kiwanis Club, and other networking groups, Heather focuses on helping others build a strong business by sharing KW values and education beyond the walls of KW. Heather spear-headed the creation of Hearts for Schools, a non-profit with a mission to collaborate with schools to promote teacher and staff retention through appreciation and recognition events. As an educator for nearly two decades, Heather’s focus is on taking care of those who are shaping the leaders of tomorrow while also learning and sharing her personal knowledge. Marketing yourself to your audience is key and it's something that can be done in a fun and educational way. Being a teacher has given her invaluable skills of patience, perseverance, understanding, negotiation, and thinking on her feet-not to mention the creativity to dream-up “The Fishing Girl”.
Heather showcases her homes with professional photographs and uses a team of service providers to assist with her client’s buying and selling needs. Heather’s enthusiasm and determination are the perfect combination for Making FL Dreams a reality.
