About Heather
Being born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and thriving on organized chaos are the reasons Heather Listy loves real estate so much! She has spent the last seventeen years working in title and escrow, closing hundreds of transactions from simple to complex and helping realtors look great to their clients. The knowledge learned in escrow has given her a unique advantage when it comes to guiding her clients through the home buying and selling process. She understands and knows what needs to happen behind the scenes. Becoming a real estate agent felt like a rewarding career that was specifically designed for her. Her philosophy is simple: “Work hard and be nice to people.” Everyone has a story, and each one fascinates her. It is the people she meets that she would otherwise not have known, and the life stories they share with her that she loves most about her job. her goal is to exceed your expectations and do whatever she can to make your sale or purchase as stress-free as possible. She has an open-door policy, and she welcomes you to chat anytime and will answer any and all questions you have.
Her family brings her the most joy in her life, so when she is not hard at work showing and selling homes, she is having fun with her son, Ryder, and her husband of twenty-one years, Eric. Their son plays club and travel baseball as well competitive basketball, and they spend a lot of their time out at the ball fields and basketball courts. When not cheering at games, they try to escape by going camping and finding fun riding their toys in the sand dunes. As a native Oregonian and longtime resident on the Westside, she believes in giving back to the community and enjoys being involved with charitable events as often as possible. She is very involved in helping raise money for schools by serving on many school committees and chairing her son’s school auction. She is also a big dyslexia advocate. The 2018 through 2019 school year was the first year by law that dyslexia was recognized as a learning disability in Oregon schools. Now, it is important to educate schools and teachers on how to help these Dyslexic students learn since most teachers have little or no training on Dyslexia.
