Heather is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and after high school, spent 30 years in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Heather joined IBM shortly after graduation and soon moved into a career as a Systems Engineer providing installation services, training and support for her clients. It was during this time that Heather learned the art of exemplary customer service.
After a downsizing, Heather joined a local bank-owned mortgage company where she managed staff in their secondary marketing department and then a group of systems analysts who trained and supported mortgage lending systems. This was her first introduction to the mortage and real estate industry.
After meeting her husband, Lance, she moved to Iowa City, Iowa, where she joined a community bank, starting as the Executive Assistant to the President. Heather quickly took on additional responsibilities as the bank Compliance Officer, Operations Manager and Human Resources Vice President. It was during this time that her husband’s parents’ health was failing and they made the decision to move back to his hometown, Virginia Beach.
Heather’s first position in Virginia was as the Executive Assistant to the President at Regent University. Following the resignation of the President, Heather worked as an Executive Assistant to the CEO of a local countertop manufacturer as well as the Executive Assistant to the VP of Finance at a healthcare consulting firm before making the decision to launch a career in Real Estate. Heather brings her extensive experience serving others to her real estate business. You'll be amazed at Heather's attention to detail, her responsiveness to your needs and her caring demeanor.
Heather enjoys gardening, golfing and sharing lots of laughs. Heather and Lance are grandparents to four beautiful grandchildren, two in Iowa and two in Washington state.
