How would you describe the perfect real estate selling experience? Well, it would be a lot like the one we just had with Heather Soukup and Sweet Home Alabama Real Estate.

Our results were no less than amazing. We agreed for Heather and her team to represent us in selling our lakefront cabin in Cedar Bluff on a Saturday, and they suggested a strong selling price - tens of thousands above what we had thought would be an excellent price. Twenty-four hours later, we were under contract for the full list price! Twenty-three days after that, we were leaving the closing attorney’s office with a check in hand - wow.

There was no hassle at all in the selling process. Heather’s team took care of every single detail. Documents were signed electronically, and all we had to do was to go to the attorney’s office to sign the final documents. This all happened so fast and so efficiently, our only problem was in getting our stuff out of the cabin in time for closing!

Honestly, we’re still pinching ourselves that everything went so smoothly, so fast, and for such a great price. Along the way, Heather and her team provided excellent advice, coordinated some items with the buyers, and kept us updated every step of the way. like I suggested earlier, this was pretty much the perfect real estate selling experience.

We could not recommend Heather and Sweet Home Alabama Real Estate more enthusiastically - they were wonderful!

Sitting and watching another beautiful sunset on Lake Weiss , I reflected on how we got here to our dream lake house. I did a lot of searching via various websites to compile a list of properties that I thought would be worth looking at. I then searched for a real estate agent, when I found Heather Myers, the owner of Sweet Home Alabama Real Estate. She was licensed in Georgia and Alabama which appealed to us. We worked via email and phone to set up two days of properties to look at. She worked with all the other agents to set up the appointments. We viewed most of the properties, and skipped a few when she brought the inside scoop on those not really worth the time. Our decision, made, she worked hard to secure the property at the price point that worked for us. She went above and beyond the call of duty, helping us with our search for insurance, and even the house inspector. Before I begin let me say that I am sometimes long winded but when something is important to me, that is how I roll, and Heather Myers is VERY Important to us. She helped my husband & me find our DREAM LAKE HOME! This has been a dream for over 10 years and in less than 6 months we found it and closed on our Family home where we will make many wonderful memories with our kids and grandkids. Heather Myers was the key!

We live in Middle TN and wanted to find something within less than a 3 hour drive from home so that reaching the lake house after work on Friday afternoons would be an easy drive. We narrowed down several areas in TN, KY and AL based on our desires and budget. Then we met with realtors in those areas and this is where Heather comes into our story. She was a JOY to work with from the very first day and she was the link we needed. Any questions we had, she answered quickly and efficiently. She educated us about the areas around Weiss Lake and discussed budgetary factors. She found us homes to consider in the lower range that might need a bit of work but had true potential with a little sweat equity. She found us homes on the high side that were great comparisons to what those with potential could become and she worked and worked to find us the RIGHT HOME.

We finally made some specific realizations that minimum steps, great water view, dock with boat lift, private ramp and open entertaining were our focus. 3 BR and 2 BA was the plan to accommodate our family. Then she worked her magic.

We found one of those “potential” homes and even though it had lots of steps, it had everything else and we put in a contract. However due to the home inspection discoveries we had to walk away and I was devastated. I could see our family putting our touch on the home to make it ours. But, she gave us good advice and helped us to walk away and KNOW that the right house would be out there at the right time, right place and right price. We just needed a little more time.

And then it happened, a house hit the market, we set up an appointment to see it the first opportunity we could and after leaving we knew we had found what we were searching for. When I walked in my husband saw my face and he knew that I was HOME! We were on contract within 2 hours and never looked back. Her advice was paramount to us understanding that homes like this rarely came on the market and we needed to act fast.

It took perseverance, good instincts and a bit of a BULLDOG attitude to get us here and she has all of these and is willing to put them to work for you.
