From our first few showings, Hector made me feel comfortable and unpressured to commit until I had come to my own decision (I had spoken with 5-6 agents before deciding to work with Hector). As a first time home buyer, I was nervous, uninformed and unclear on what I wanted (waffling between home or condo, several different price points, etc.) - yet Hector remained encouraging and patient, teaching me everything I needed to know during the process (as well as many tips and tricks about the bay area market, which he's worked in for over a decade).

DURING THE SEARCH: Ensuring I was comfortable with every decision became a pattern with Hector; house after house, even as the number viewed kept going up, not once did I feel pressured by him to make an offer or go over budget. He was reliable and always available for showings (even occasional last-minute requests) and drove out to several completely different locations while I was trying to get a feel for what area was right for me. I also liked that he and his wife Ana work as a team- she showed up at a few viewings with him as a second opinion, and was able to immediately cover for him to send over forms (PEAD and eventually, contract forms) if he was ever away from the computer.

MAKING AN OFFER: I put offers on 3 homes, and the acceptance of my final offer was pleasantly unexpected. I nearly skipped extending an offer since I assumed it would sell outside of my budget, but Hector's sixth sense somehow knew to double down. He first checked with me to see if I would be OK making an offer (within budget), which I was surprised at (after looking at 20+ homes I saw similar go way over asking) but confirmed. He then worked closely with my broker to get an offer together with a quick close and early contingency removal. The next day, I got the call that it was accepted!

DURING CONTRACT: Hector was on top of everything as we were in contract - completely handling communication with my mortgage broker + escrow, and kept everything on time. He even managed to negotiate a decent amount of credit back to me prior to close, which I didn't think could happen in this market!

AFTER CLOSE: Hector was just as quick to reply and resolve any issues (I had a few questions about how to work things in the new house - he contacted agent/sellers to get those answered). As an added bonus, Hector completely covered 1 year of home warranty for me - which provides huge peace of mind, should any of the appliances in my home break.

AFTER MOVE-IN: I've been in the new house for about a month now, and don't feel an ounce of regret- I got an amazing home at a great price. Hector somehow got everything on my checklist (walking distance to park, sunny kitchen, garden, yard for my dog, and a view), with some added bonuses (smart irrigation system, updated kitchen/bath, on a quiet dead end), all within budget. The house is sturdy with no issues, confirming our inspector's clean bill of health. It's only been a month, but I've watched similar houses (on even smaller lots) in the neighborhood hit the market asking above what my final investment in this home was.

SUMMARY: If Hector hadn't have gone above and beyond when he sensed the right opportunity, I wouldn't be in my dream home right now. As a solo + first time homebuyer, I feel fortunate to have found Hector- the trajectory of my life has been significantly altered for the better thanks to his patience, knowledge + sixth sense. I am now a homeowner, building equity in a home I do not feel like I compromised at all on (in San Francisco!!!). I absolutely would work with him again, and will recommend him to anyone in the bay area. THANK YOU HECTOR!

We first met Hector window shopping for a house 8 years ago (we were not financially ready) He helped us with credit clean up and we were in our home 1 1/2 yr later. He was not my first experience dealing with an agent, he was nothing like the others! He was patient and most importantly NOT PUSHY! Later he set us up with a great financial broker (we felt ripped off in 1st refi). Recently we used his services again to sell my parents house.... He made that an easy transaction! He’s honest and we will continue our professional relationship with him until he retires!
