About Henry

Born in New York where his parents met in the 1960’s after his Dad fled Communist Cuba and met his Mom a Costa Rican exchange student. Had an early taste of being an entrepreneur helping his dad and uncles at their restaurants through his teens. Was always interested in real estate investing watching Robert Allen / Carleton Sheets informercials and ordering their courses as a teenager.

Enlisted in the United States Navy right after high school during the Persian Gulf War. There he was able to excel in the Navy’s Nuclear Power program considered the most demanding academic program in the U.S. military. Henry was able to graduate with honors to the extent that he wasn’t sent to sea and was retained as a staff instructor. There he taught / qualified officers and enlisted students the mechanical side of a nuclear power plant in upstate NY.

After the Navy he got his real estate license and focused on listings while learning everything he could about Short Sales and REO’s in the late 90’s. Was a top producer at Coldwell Banker and Realy Executives and one of the founding members of the NRBA- National REO Brokers Association. After two years was able to obtain his Broker license and managed an office with over 300 Agents while still ranking in the top 3 every month in listings and sales. In 2001 opened his own boutique company focused on traditional listings and distressed sales.

Towards the end of 2007 one of Henry’s bank clients unloaded 37 properties in one week starting the beginning of the financial crisis. While most Agents, Mortgage Brokers, and Title Companies were going out of business, Henry was not getting much sleep hiring people to help him with the onslaught of REO’s. Since he was an experienced REO Agent by that point then it wasn’t too long before more and more Servicers sought him out to manage their listings.

Henry does retail brokerage, REO work and is a real estate investor owning smaller multifamily buildings while always looking to add more doors to the portfolio. He has always had offices where his staff and agents work but always preferred to work from home so he could be around his kids. Been fortunate to watch his boys grow up while helping them train while attending all their baseball /football games/wrestling meets which he didn’t get the chance to take part in as a kid. They have the real estate bug and want to be real estate investors & developers continuing in the family business.
