I heard it said that purchasing a house is one of the most stressful things that you will do. It proved to be true. I can’t imagine having done it without Gretchen! She was a pleasure to work with. Gretchen Doerfler, realtor for Team Edelstein, is truly amazing. She was so extremely helpful in selling our house. She was a total team player always looking out for us. We learned and benefited so much from working with her. I can't imagine another real estate agent doing as well. Like a University search committee, we interviewed 5 other agents fairly carefully before picking Gretchen. We are totally convinced that we picked the right one. We heard about her initially through a glowing recommendation from a faculty colleague at the University of Minnesota who seldom gives glowing recommendations. We owe him big time.

The real estate sales process is more complicated than we ever imagined. Gretchen was there to help with every facet of the process. For example, we knew nothing about staging a house and we realize now that staging can be so very valuable. And the sales process is not a simple step-by-step process. It involves multi-tasking. Gretchen was always honest about the process, never just making false promises that a seller might Like to hear. She is extremely knowledgeable about the entire sales process, well-organized, timely, and willing to share and explain her insights. She also took the time to constructively critique our thinking and assumptions-- so very helpful. She is humble and networked extremely well through a solid real estate team (Team Edelstein). She is so very friendly, patient, and a truly caring, honest, people person that listens extremely well and follows through in a timely manner. She is a great negotiator. Her interpersonal skills and sharp and quick mind were so very valuable for us in her discussions with agents representing potential buyers.

Tom and Henry were so personable, professional, and responsive to us and our needs. Our house sat on the market for many months until they came along and breathed new life into it. I worked with Gretchen Doerfler to help find my dad a house. He was to say the least, picky. She put up with A LOT and still always was diligent about trying to help him for a little over a year. She also went the extra steps to keep me in the loop so I could be there to tour potential homes and with her and my father. She also consulted my mom on potentially selling her house. So as you can see, I recommend her to my most important family and I have the utmost trust in her, which is something I would say is important in finding a good realtor. As much as trust is important too, she has done this for a long time and she is going to point things out to you that a lot of people aren't going to recognize. Trust me when I say this because I had to go through a lot of walk-throughs with how picky my dad was; it was super interesting listening to her talk about the houses. I learned a ton and it's awesome seeing someone that is such a professional operate in their field and also knowing that person is on your side.

She is the best realtor I know and would be the person I recommended to anyone looking to buy or sell there home, hands down!

When we were searching for our first (and current) home, we really felt like she cared about finding us a good home at a good price, and we appreciated that she shared her wisdom and opinion without being pushy. Not only that, but she seems to have good connections in the real estate world — we only got our current house because the first buyer with an accepted offer backed out, and the selling agent contacted Gretchen before putting the house back on the open market. He helped us sell our house, and buy a new one with a very tight timeline, and in a tight market. Team Edelstein is truly a team. As I got my house ready to sell, they connected me with contractors who could do some needed work, a stager who helped me pare down so the house would show well and a photographer who took amazing pictures. When we got it on the market, different folks from their office jumped in to drop off materials, staff open houses, keep me sane as the offers came in, etc etc etc. We ended up with FIFTEEN offers above asking price within 2 days because of all the diligent work ahead of time.

They are quick in communicating and great with working to get us what we want. Even when what we wanted sometimes changed. They worked with our odd schedules to view homes. Their negotiation skills are amazing and saved us a lot of money.

They always answered any questions we had. They made the process very easy and non stressful. I never had to wonder what the next steps were as they were always keeping us informed.

We have used there team twice now and will use them any time we need help.

When it came time to sell this house in June of 2017, she was our first choice. Gretchen, as always, was a pleasure to work with. I usually think buyer's agents are unnecessary, but Henry blew my perception of that out of the water. In a low-inventory market, he got us in to see not-yet-listed properties, off-MLS listings, and networked in ways that we simply couldn't have done, ourselves. The value he added to our home search was extraordinary. He is impeccably professional, but not a "yes man" just out to make the sale - he told us what he thought, he had excellent insights and knowledge, warned us of non-obvious problems, and ultimately found us the ideal property. Too many real estate agents are "hobbyists", but Henry is a real professional - highly knowledgeable, highly intelligent, very hard-working, and dedicated to his clients.

What a treat it was to work with Team Edelstein. Henry provided great knowledge of areas around the metro and helped us go through the process of narrowing down our search and finding the right home in the right location.
