About Hugh

A life-long Alaskan with deep roots in the Great Land, Hugh Wade began his working career as a commercial lender and bank officer for First National Bank of Alaska. From 1998-2001, Hugh owned and operated a commercial salmon fishing company in the Bristol Bay area. In late 2001, Hugh re-entered the banking world as a commercial loan officer for Alaska First Bank & Trust. Hugh was the vice president and primary commercial lender for five years where he honed his financial skills. With an extensive knowledge of the demographics and economics of Anchorage and surrounding areas, he established Spire Commercial Real Estate in 2009. Since that time, Spire has seen increasing gross commission volume, deal sizes and complexity.
