A lifelong resident of Central Pennsylvania, Hunter Shughart brings a deep appreciation for the land and a passion for the outdoors to his role as a Realtor® and Land Specialist with Sportsman Properties Real Estate. As an avid Pennsylvania hunter, farmer, and outdoor enthusiast, Hunter has a unique understanding of the land and what makes a great property for recreational, residential, or agricultural use.
Hunter’s hands-on experience with land and homeownership runs deep. After graduating from South Middleton School District in 2012, he pursued home building and remodeling at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC), where he honed skills that he has since applied to his own farmette, renovating a 1901 farmhouse and managing the land for both recreation and agriculture. Hunter and his family care for horses, dogs, cats, and chickens, giving him firsthand knowledge of equestrian properties, hobby farms, and rural land management.
Professionally, Hunter’s background spans multiple industries, including seven years with the PA Liquor Control Board and managing a farm-based nonprofit serving adults with intellectual disabilities. These experiences instilled in him a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a client-first approach, qualities that define his real estate career.
When he’s not helping clients buy or sell land and homes, Hunter can be found riding horses, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, young son, and their animals. Whether you’re looking for hunting land, a rural homestead, or the perfect place to build your dream home, Hunter is committed to providing expert guidance with integrity, passion, and a true love for the land.
