ILEEN WEISS knows the value of a good first impression. After working in the fashion and cosmetic industries for more than a decade, she directed her artistic eye toward interior design and home staging. Since 1998, she has served as a consultant for realtors, recommending best practices for showcasing any home or hard-to-sell property. As A Feng Shui Master, her style is firmly rooted in the ancient Chinese principles of Feng Shui, a philosophy for creating tranquil, appealing spaces that emanate harmony and balance. As the founder and president of Long Island Feng Shui Institute, Weiss has consulted for corporations and private clients alike. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, New York Post, and HGTV, where she appeared as a Feng Shui Expert. She has also served as an adjunct professor as well as a guest lecturer for the United Nations, State University of New York, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
The transition to becoming a realtor was a natural one. She draws on her training as a Certified Home Staging Professional to prepare each home for a successful sale, helping her clients transform any space into a comfortable, welcoming haven that radiates positive energy. Her calm demeanor and willingness to work closely with her clients are assets not just to the process of selling a home, but also to buying one.
“I enjoy helping people find the house that’s right for the next part of their journey,” says Weiss, who prides herself on identifying and prioritizing the individual needs of her clients. A Long Island native, Weiss graduated from Stony Brook University and raised three children on Long Island’s North Shore. From Manhasset to Roslyn to the East End, she knows the area like the back of her hand. She enjoys living near the ocean in harmony with the environment. When she’s not guiding her clients through a sale, Weiss is an avid sports woman who loves horseback riding, watersports, yoga and tennis (she was a doubles champion and captain of the Roslyn Country Club tennis team for many years). Additionally she is a reiki master and energy healer for people and pets.
