When we purchased our townhouse with D'Ann in 2007 we knew when we were ready to sell it one day she would be the only agent we would use. We listed the house this year and she got us over asking price with an easy, fast settlement. We were living thousands of miles away and she managed everything on the ground for us to get the house reading for showings and any needed repairs. 3,000 miles, a pandemic and street name mishap, Realtor D'Ann Melnick helped me navigate these obstacles and never missed a beat! She was responsive to my many questions, no matter how outrageous and always provided a solution with a smile!  D'Ann is an expert when it comes to real estate in the D.C. metro area and provided sage advice for each property I was interested in. D’Ann is the best real estate agent I’ve worked with. She is professional, responsive, patient, proactive, and an excellent listener. I moved to the area from out of state. We met and I explained what I was looking for, and what was most important to me. Within days we were viewing available condos, and we found the one I wanted within two weeks. A little more than a month later, I closed and moved in.
D’Ann was with me every step of the way. In fact, she often anticipated my questions and needs before I realized them myself. She made suggestions and recommendations for potential insurers, home warranty companies, cleaners, movers – she knows the area SO WELL. She had existing relationships with my lender, and other service providers I chose. She also made sure the seller made the necessary repairs, and left the property clean.

My wife and I found a new home to buy off market. When we got ratified, we new we had to list our current home right away, since we were looking to sell prior to closing on the new home. Three days later, we had our initial meeting with D’Ann to discuss initial steps and when to hit the market. She provided a very helpful list to get our home “show ready” and recommended a competitive list price. Our home hit the market the following Friday, and due to D’Ann’s amazing home pictures, virtual online tour and premarket advertising, we had immediate interest. We had 7 private showings the first day and a half, which included 5 competitive offers, 4 of which had escalation clauses. D’Ann walked us through each offer very throughly, and answered every call and question we had. Our home was under contract in less than two days and sold well above list with all of the additional terms we requested! Our sale successfully closed two weeks prior to our purchase, which meant we had more funds to bring to settlement, leading to a lower mortgage rate. We could not have been more happy with D’Ann and City Chic, and 100% recommend them to anybody looking to buy or sell a home.

Our realtor D’Ann was more than an agent- she was our counselor, our confidant, and our trusted ally. She saw us through challenging times and things out of left field that couldn’t be controlled or planned for.
