James was born in Portland Maine in 1957, the youngest of 7, and grew up in Falmouth, graduating from Falmouth High School 1975. He then went on to The University of Maine, Orno and eventually to The University of Southern Maine where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 1982, graduating as Cum Laude. He was also the recipient of several Economic Development Administration internships working with the City of Portland’s Planning Department to create an Economic Development Capital Improvement Program in 1980, and Lincoln and Sagadahoc County Overall Economic Development Program Report.
He then owned several start up businesses, Errand Runners, and Wharf’s End Bar & Restaurant which he sold in 1997 and went on to work in international biotech sales until 2003 when obtained a real estate license.
James specializes in all aspects of commercial real estate including investment, multi unit, working waterfront, industrial & development properties.
His passions include dog fostering through Old Dog New Digs, gardening, artwork, cooking, playing music, striper fishing, and he loves being a grandfather to three beautiful school age kids.
