I don’t think we could have gotten our dream house without James in this cutthroat sellers market. Without James’ multitude of personal relationships with local lenders, inspectors and other agents the sellers would have likely gone with a different buyer. James was great at negotiating in our favor to ensure our offer was excepted. He always addressed all of our inquiries and in a timely manner. He’s very personable and great to work with. If your looking for a home in Frederick and surrounding areas he’s your guy!!

My husband and I just bought our first home with James' guidance. He stuck with us for almost a year in finding the perfect place. He never lost hope or interest throughout that entire year - he was always there for us! In the current competitive market, he gave us strong advice on competitive offers whilst being reasonable within our budget, and still got us everything we wanted. He really listened to everything we wanted in a home and was able to put us into our #1 neighborhood pick. He had our back 100% with every single house we went to look at - always searching for the next ones that were about to come on the market. We are thrilled to have worked with James as our realtor! We were living in VA at the time of our home buying search, so it initially felt like daunting task to find the right place and neighborhood. James really made the process easy, streamline, and extremely knowledgeable in the real estate market. He helped line up several homes ensuring we had enough time to see as many as possible during the few weekends we had in see houses in MD. There were even times when we sent him a last minute request, and James was able to get us in that same day! We also had to bring our kids a few times (due to lack of a sitter), and James was so patience with us as we went to various showings. When we finally found OUR house and had moved in, James continued to to be a resource and helping hand relating to the house.

We are so grateful to have worked with James during one of the most important milestone in our life!

Buying your first home can be a nerve-wracking experience. James helped us through it all. We were set on purchasing a 1920s home with beautiful character and charm. Although there was competition, James was able to help negotiate us a win. When the home inspection came around, major issues were found with the foundation. As first-time home buyers, this was a tough situation to be in and we wanted out. Although we had signed a contract for this home, James was able to help get us out using his experience and his relationships. We could not have been more thankful. James helped us quickly find another home- one with charm but also one that had been well maintained. Throughout the buying process James went well out of his way to help us understand the contracts, the process and everything we went through. He worked long, hard hours and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. James also had fantastic recommendations for home inspectors and mortgage companies. We highly recommend working with James! We are repeat clients for a reason - James just helped us sell the house he helped us buy two years ago as first-time homebuyers (expanding because our family is growing!).
Just as he did with the purchasing process, James answered all of our questions and walked us through the scenarios we presented to him so that we could be fully prepared. He outlined everything we needed to do to get the best price in our sale before listing and to get many offers shortly after listing. He thoroughly explained the process and the kinds of offers we could potentially receive, going into details to help demonstrate that while the sale price is important in an offer, it’s not the only aspect to pay attention to. He also has a great network of professionals who do great work in the timeframes you need it done.
