James is a very patient and understanding realtor. He is incredibly communicative and will answer any questions and walk you through the process. This was something that was necessary with elderly owners who aren’t accustomed to today’s real estate market, which was the case here. James is also well connected in the area. He had several buyers (developers) lined up even before the home was officially on the market. And when the original buyer backed out due to the city’s historical preservation mandates, James had another buyer under contract within days. Highly recommend working with James.

When we moved to Jersey City from Brooklyn, James Cahill was the sole factor in convincing us of the great possibilities of buying in Jersey City and handled the complex purchase flawlessly. It was obvious he would be the only choice in who we would choose to sell the home when it was time to leave. Once again, James was readily available, making us feel like friends as much as valuable clients. He kept our interests on the forefront of all negotiations and sold our home well above the asking price in a very short time. He was professional and always kept up spirits and hopes in a challenging time to make a move during the pandemic. After a quick, in-person meeting with James Cahill, I knew he was the right agent for my wife and me. He had an intimate understanding of the various neighborhoods in Jersey City, and was up to date on the latest city zoning and codes. We were looking to buy both a small investment property, and a 2-family house that was to be our new home. He took the time to get to know our style and preference, and only showed us relevant properties. Once we found the right fit, he negotiated a great price well under asking on both properties. No mean feat in highly competitive Jersey City. Through the closing process James was friendly, professional, and was always available to answer questions or calm our worries. Now that we are new owners, his recommendations for local contractors and plumbers are coming in very handy. James is an invaluable resource before, during and after your home purchase.
